Neither far left or far right, except on a particular issue where I may be either. Libertarian leaning, anti-power; religiously pro-reason; pro-choice on pretty much everything. I am Average Joe and his twin, Educated Average Joe. Not a soul in Famous World has any idea who I am. I am nobody and everybody.
I’m going to try to detail situations that illustrate George Orwell’s vision, even though he had the year wrong. My “Pages” will provide an overall POV.
Power is to be mistrusted, period. “Power,” in any sphere of life, whether it be spiritual, emotional, physical, political, intellectual, economic; you name it, seeks to acquire more. So it is, has always been, and will always be. It needs to be constantly monitored and controlled.
Our Founding Fathers made this abundantly clear. I love our Founding Fathers. Sometimes even BECAUSE of their personal flaws. It takes a certain amount of genius and personal insight to legislate against your own life story.
Question authority. Because Authority doesn’t give a shit what you think unless you remind It.

Hey, this is both Stringonastick and Make It Stop saying you done the right thing boy. Dan Collins is a total ass and tacitly encouraging stalkers to go after a woman who made the mistake of dating him over 2 decades ago is beyond the pale. I admire your ability to stick with it and make the guy go as bat shit crazy as he did: I just lobbed in a grenade or two when he said something that really got me. So, pay no attention to those who say it was a waste of time; the post got taken down because of it and maybe something truly awful was avoided for that reason alone.
AS far as I am concerned, the Dan Collin’s of the world act like The Man because in the final analysis, if they can’t be The Man they will certainly do all they can to facilitate all The Man does, this whole “dis the slut” episode being a case in point. Good job!
