A couple of simple suggestions: One, if the incoming plane is late, how about asking for a show of hands or maybe a voice vote about whether or not us passengers would give up any time while the “cabin is cleaned?” Every time I hear that, I think, “Well, I’d cash in 20 minutes for a dirty plane in a heartbeat”, incoming serious gastrointestinal issues aside.

Two, why not charge people for carrying their luggage into the cabin instead of checking it? It might not make a difference, not in the least because of suggestion one, but shouldn’t the people who delay boarding and exiting be paying the fee?

Until 9-11, I was always excited to get on a big jet plane.
