Again, the sad thing about all this is that it is probably a really good idea, from a nationalist perspective. Bush Sr. and Clinton, especially together, could arguably do a HUGE amount of damage control around the world together. But you don’t hear about that. So what if it is a good idea? There’s a horse race to cover. Analysis, schmanalysis. Substance, schmubstance.

I have often said that Bush Sr. likes 42 better than he does 43, at least politically. But blood is thicker than country, it appears, in the end. It’s very likely that Babs made him say this stuff. She’s mean, legendarily so, and 43 is Babs’ son, above all. Because he’s mean, too.
I’ve lost a lot of respect for 41.
