Pandagon is the only site I’ve ever been booted from, and they’re wildly and unabashedly feminst.  According to them, I hate women, which I find funny, my being a confirmed “lookist” makes me by definition misogynist, and according to them, there are no real differences between men and women, which I find funnier.

But they have opened my eyes to a lot of the underlying bullshit women have to deal with, and make a great, beautifully-written and supported case for it virtually every time, which is why I don’t harbor the angst they have for me; or, I should say, the concept of “me,” since they don’t and shouldn’t care about me personally.  In fact, I think they’re wildly terrific, largely because of one of my founding life-principles:  You have to be a little shrill to move the middle.

Pandagon, I believe, was the first blog added to my roll when I fired one up.  If you’re a smart and/or angry woman, you should visit them from time to time, because they explain the crap women have to deal with for being women right-on far more often than not.

Circling back to the original idea, Chris Matthews HATES Hillary Clinton.  She’s my third choice, so it isn’t like I’m in love with her myself or anything, but his hatred is based on pure patriarchal nonsense, it’s obvious.

Me, I would LOVE Elizabeth Edwards as President, or even Barbara Boxer.

HRC will be fine, too, particularly when compared to the inevitable alternative.  She’s just too in bed with money and the system for me to get all dreamy about.  But I won’t be holding my nose if/when I pull the trigger for her in the general, and *gasp* it is partially because I like the idea of a woman President, which probably makes me sexist, too, in someone’s eyes.

Politics is the last true blood-sport, and I love it.
